He began his career as a professional bodybuilder before embarking on acting and political pursuits.
But Arnold Schwarzenegger, 70, proved he was still a fitness fanatic as he squeezed in a workout at a Yorkshire gym during the UK leg of his tour on Thursday.
The Hercules in New York star was seen pumping iron 1RM Elite Personal Studio in Leeds before he happily posed with snaps with fellow gym-goers.

Bodybuilder Ricky Moore told The Sunonline: 'He came down with his security team and was a really nice and pleasant guy.
'For a 70-year-old he's in really good shape!'
Showing that Arnold also possesses a great sense of humour, a fellow gymgoer remarked that the Terminator star's parting comment was 'I'll be back'.

The former Governor Of California will no doubt be keen to stay in the best shape possible ahead of filming for the upcoming Terminator film - the sixth film in the franchise.
The new movie will be produced by James Cameron and will also feature original star and the filmmaker's ex-wife Linda Hamilton, now 60.
The actress is set to reprise her role as Sarah Connor, a kickass action character that made her famous in the 1984 original The Terminator and again in the 1991 sequel Terminator 2: Judgement Day, The Hollywood Reporter announced on Tuesday.

THR.com reports that the new movie will be a direct sequel to the 1991 film with the evils of technology providing the dominant theme.
Although Hamilton and Schwarzenegger will be back, the film will introduce a new cast of characters who could go on to form the basis for a trilogy.
'We’re starting a search for an 18-something woman to be the new centerpiece of the new story,' Cameron told the trade publication.
'We still fold time. We will have characters from the future and the present. There will be mostly new characters, but we'll have Arnold and Linda’s characters to anchor it.'
Reunited: Arnold is no doubt be keen to stay in the best shape possible ahead of filming Terminator six - where he will reunite with Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor)
