The valuable
gown was encrusted with 6,000 white Akoya pearls. On the red carpet, Nyong'o
said she was keeping an eye on the delicate pearls adorning her dress.
"We'll see how many I keep on by the end of the night," she siad
And she was
enjoying her first Oscars since her victory last year for Twelve Years a
Slave. "I'm really happy to be here and the pressure is off," she
said.
Representatives
for Nyong'o had no comment.
"Detectives
are now doing follow-up and working with hotel security," said Nishida.
