Three of my nine children are adopted — Femi Kuti

Femi Kuti, the son of late afro-beat legend, Fela  Anikulapo-Kuti, has revealed that three out of
his nine children were adopted. This was revealed in a recent interview by the music icon himself.

The afro-beat king who is constantly on a music tour around the world spoke on his love for his children and how he balances doing music and fatherhood since he rehearses and performs for long hours every day.
Femi, who will be performing live at the forthcoming Felabration Music Festival, tagged ‘The Prophecy’, slated for  Monday, October 9 to Sunday, October 15  marking Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s  79th  birthday, spoke about the musical influence he has had on his kids. According to him; “Made, my first son plays a number of musical instruments and he is very proud of his instrumental dexterity”, he said. 
Felabration, a week-long musical event which attracts thousands of visitors annually from all over the world to the New Africa Shrine, an official tourist destination of The Lagos State Government usually features an exciting lineup of artistes and this year’s edition will not be an exception.
