Agric Minister, Akinwumi Adeshina Deletes His Anti-Buhari Tweets

Akinwumi Adeshina, Agricultural Minister in Jonathan’s government, cleans up his twitter, deleting anti-Buhari tweets after his appointment as candidate for presidential post of the African Development Bank by Muhammadu Buhari.



Akinwumi Adeshina, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, decided to wipe his anti-Buhari tweets following his appointment as a candidate for presidency of the African Development Bank by Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday.

The tweets were aimed at Buhari’s image as a presidential candidate who can really bring changes to Nigeria.


Akinwumi Adeshina, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, decided to wipe his anti-Buhari tweets following his appointment as a head of the African Development Bank by Muhammadu Buhari.
After deleting his earlier anti-Buhari tweets Mr. Adeshina stated in another tweet that he is “honoured by Muhammadu Buhari endorsement of his candidacy for the chairman of African Development Bank Group“, claiming that “together, we can renew Africa”.
Before his appointment as the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2010, Akinwumi Adeshina served as Vice President of Policy and Partnerships for the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA).
