The boxer seemed so pleased with the service from Phantom Hire that he handed over a £1,200 tip – making it £200 for each driver.
Mazhar Iqbal, who runs the Digbeth-based firm was tasked with picking upMayweather and his 24-strong entourage from Cannock's The Premier Suite where the unbeaten champ was an after-dinner speaker.
His gleaming fleet of six Rolls Royce Phantoms then whisked Team Mayweather to Birmingham VIP sheesha lounge Arabian Nights, writes the Birmingham Mail .
After enjoying a banquet meal, Floyd was then taken at 5am to Birmingham Airportwhere his private jet was waiting.
Mahzar, 31, said: “He was a very, very humble person, a very nice man. I’d read he wasn’t the best tipper, but that must be wrong.
“It’s not the biggest individual tip I’ve received, but it was a fantastic gesture.
“He told one of his entourage to hand the money to each driver.”
Mazhar, who has run the firm for six years, drove Mayweather. The champ was in the front passenger seat, and three female companions in the back.
“It was a one-off,” beamed the businessman. “He took care of the music because he’s got a Phantom of his own.
“I didn’t expect him to be chatty, but he was very chatty. I didn’t expect him to be so open.
“He wanted me to show him some of the Birmingham sights and said he really liked Birmingham.
“He was very impressed with Arabian Nights and they served him lots of food.”
Mazhar’s fleet had to wait an hour at the airport while Floyd made phone calls, but the star hugged each driver before boarding his jet.
“I didn’t finish until 7am, but it was worth it,” added Mazhar, who was informed of his very special customer five days before the visit.
He is staying tight-lipped over how much the night cost Mayweather.
But a Roller Phantom isn’t cheap – buying a new one would set you back around £400,000.
The Samson Road North business has eight of them and the limos are much in demand for weddings. They also have a fleet of gleaming supercars.
Phantom Hire has ferried a number of celebs, but it will take a lot to top the night spent driving Mayweather.
“It was an amazing night and an amazing insight into the man,” beamed Mazhar.
