Babachir Lawal ‘still SGF’ two weeks after sack (Nigeria)

Boss Mustapha is known in the public domain as the secretary to the government of the federation (SGF) – no doubt about that. But what does the website of the federal government record say?
During the last federal executive council meeting, President Muhammadu Buhari swore in Mustapha as the SGF, after sacking Lawal.
Lawal was sacked following an allegation by a senate ad-hoc committee. He awarded contracts worth hundreds of millions of naira to a company he owns.
The contract was to remove invasive plant species from the Yobe state water channels.
However, more than one week after he resumed office, the official website of the Nigerian government still does not have Boss’ name.
When TheCable checked the site on Friday, Lawal was still very much in charge – at least on the platform.

Apart from being listed under the ‘administration’ column — with his picture and biography, he still features among the members of the federal executive council.
Mustapha’s name is nowhere to be found on the site; not even his picture.
So, for a second time, who is the SGF? Lawal or Mustapha? Have your pick!
