Tunisia terror victim Allison Heathcote is "slowly" coming out of her induced coma, according to the Birmingham hospital where she is being treated.
The 48-year-old was due to celebrate her 30th wedding anniversarywith her husband Philip on holiday in Sousse when he was killed in the attack.
Mrs Heathcote, from Felixstowe in Suffolk, was shot five times and was among a number of seriously injured victims who were flown back to the UK by the RAF on 29 June.
She initially had five hours of surgery, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, for wounds to her upper and lower torso and right arm and shoulder.
A spokesperson from the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust said: "Allison Heathcote has undergone further surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
"She is making good progress and is slowly coming out of her induced coma.
"She is still critical but is currently in a stable and comfortable condition in the hospital's Critical Care unit."
Mrs Heathcote's brother, Simon Boon, paid tribute to his brother-in-law soon after his death.
Mr Boon said: "For 30 years, Philip has shown my sister love, care, and loyalty that was second to none.
"Philip was truly Allison's soulmate and they did everything together, sharing the same interests life offered.
"Philip was without question a member of our family that everyone dearly loved and enjoyed so many good times with.
"We will, along with his family in Manchester, deeply grieve this terrible loss."
Thirty-eight people, of whom 30 were British, were killed last month by gunman Seifeddine Rezgui as they enjoyed a beach holiday in Sousse.
