March 28 2015 elections: Positive impact against all odd

Nigeria has made a positive impact in the general elections withing the past 48 hours. There is unusual calmness across the land as we continue to wait for the final out come of this election. It is like the morning after a severe hurricane; A roaring silence if you will. So what's the cause of this unusual calmness? The answer is simply because unusual things are beginning to happen, Reality check and sober reflection of some sort. No! don't jump into conclusion yet, am talking about the quiet resolve of Nigerians, the civility of the security forces, the voter turnout, the effect of technology, the huge surprises and the final submission of the political office seekers to the collective will of Nigerians. If this is sustained, no matter the outcome of the election we as Nigerians are the ultimate winners. The disorientation we may have experienced in this highly contested election we hope will lead to a new orientation we've craved for. Let's keep our fingers and maintain this civility and as we appreciate the man who made it possible for the Democratic space to be more widened and more tolerant of dissension, leading to a day like March 28th, 2015.
Apart from the recent attack at a Central Primary School in Alkaleri Local Government of Bauchi state today- Sunday, the violence is minimal. Contrary to several people's view.
Time will tell if the peace will last.
